Important Health Plan Survey Offered to Members

We want to hear what you think about us.

Be on the lookout for a national survey called Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS). Some Healthy Blue members will be chosen at random to participate in this survey.

It’s your chance to share your thoughts and opinions with us. This will help us make improvements so we can be sure to meet your health care needs.

If you are picked to take part, your survey will be mailed directly to you. It will come from a private company called Press Ganey.  

Some Healthy Blue members may have already received the survey. Once you get it, please be sure to fill it out and turn it in by May 16, 2025.  

There are three ways to fill out and return this survey:

  • Send back by mail.
  • Call the phone number listed.
  • Complete online.

If you do not reply to the survey, you may get reminder postcards, phone calls or another survey in the mail.  

The survey will ask you to talk about your personal experiences with Healthy Blue and your primary care providers (PCPs). However, your name and answers will be kept private.

The survey looks at:

  • How Healthy Blue members feel about the care you receive.
  • How easy it is for you to get the care you need.
  • How well your PCPs and others work together to provide care.
  • Your overall satisfaction with your health care.

Here’s a snapshot of the kinds of questions you will see on the survey:  

  • How would you rate your health plan?
  • How often or quickly did you get an appointment to see a specialist?  
  • How often was it easy to get the care, tests or treatment you needed?
  • How often did your personal doctor explain things in a way that was easy to understand?
  • How often did your personal doctor listen carefully to you?
  • How often did your health plan's customer service give you the information or help you needed?

Healthy Blue hopes each of our members who are picked to participate in the survey will voice his or her opinions. What you think matters – and your feedback will help improve health care services.
